Just because....

Cinnamon, Sunshine, and Swings…

Today is October 1st! Fall has arrived!!! I know that technically fall came in September, but it just didn’t feel like fall yet… I LOVE the fall! It feels like new beginnings to me. I am blessed to live in sunny Arizona where we have sunshine nearly 350 days of the year. I just survived THE SUMMER. The summer is defined by living your life inside with the AC set to artic level, but yesterday Boo and I were putting groceries in the car when I realized something was different… What was it?? Oh YES!!!! It was the butterfly kisses of a cool soft breeze hitting our faces and blowing our hair! It was a gorgeous, beautiful, and amazing Arizona day! Fall has arrived! J

The summers may be a little hot here, (ok.. so maybe they are lava running down a mountain hot) but the fall here is beyond perfect. It’s that nirvana when both my AC and heater are off, my electric bills drop drastically and I blissfully can leave the screen doors open for a deliciously relaxing cross breeze to float into my house.

This morning Boo and I had breakfast on the back patio complete with cinnamon tea, and then he said “Mama! Let’s go to the park!” A month ago by 7am we would feel like we were walking in Mordor, but today?? Today we had such a nice time walking around our neighborhood, swinging at the park to pretend we were flying and I watched Boo race up and down the grassy water basin. This is the type of morning that makes me feel so grateful.Today is a good day!

Fall has arrived in the southwest! It’s time for hayrides, pumpkin patches and spiced tea! With the weather so nice now, I may even get motivated to finally clean out my garage… well…. maybe J I am however, grateful and happy to see the Fall roll in. This time of year reminds me how much I love living in this beautiful state! Hot summers? Scorpions? “Trees” with needles? None of those things matter once the beauty of Fall hits…

I’m off now to pack a picnic lunch and go on a short hike with Boo but I would love to hear how you all are celebrating our entry to Fall J
